Manufacturing path

What we control on this route, and how we prove it.

Below is the manufacturing path for this capability: the equipment we run it on, the in-process inspection we apply, and the evidence that ships with the lot. Compare it against your print — if a control is missing from your drawing, we will flag it in the DFM note.

CNC milling uses rotating cutting tools to machine pockets, planar faces, holes and contours. Three-axis machining suits many prismatic parts; a fourth axis can index additional faces to reduce manual re-clamping.

What we make

Common parts made via cnc milling

Aluminum mounting bracket after CNC milling

Aluminum bracket & plate work

Review pocket depth, internal radii, hole patterns and anodizing or coating masks. Tight positional tolerances on plates need a datum scheme that survives finishing.

Stainless fluid-handling block after CNC milling

Stainless fluid-handling blocks

Review intersecting bores, sealing faces, thread access and burr control. Confirm whether pressure or leak testing is part of acceptance or a separate customer process.

Milled aluminum tooling fixture plate

Jig, fixture & tooling plate

Review locating pins, bushing bores, wear surfaces and how the fixture will be used. Fixture plates often need a different inspection set than production parts.

Materials, tolerances, equipment

Typical parts and project fit

This process is considered for enclosures, mounting plates, manifolds and fixtures. Tecpreva reviews the drawing, material condition, quantity and functional requirements before confirming the production route.

Drawing and inspection checklist

Identify internal corner radii, pocket depth, wall thickness, datums and hole access. Supply a revision-controlled 2D drawing, STEP model, finish specification and critical dimensions. Machine positioning accuracy alone does not define achievable part tolerance.

How can I reduce the cost of a CNC milled part?

Use practical internal radii, avoid unnecessarily deep pockets and apply tight tolerances only to functional features. Confirm any proposed geometry or tolerance change in writing before machining.

From first article to repeat production

Agree the fixture and datum strategy, first-article checks, sampling plan and dimensional report scope before production. Record revisions and protect functional surfaces during finishing and packing.

Bring a drawing

Send your CNC milling drawing for review.

Include geometry that drives this process, material grade, quantity and the inspection points that matter. Engineering sends an initial response within one business day and confirms the proposed route after drawing review.
